The Speight's Ale House – Wellington

The Speights Ale House – Wellington has developed an excellent reputation as the place to go for hearty southern fare, generous portions, matched with Speights beers and good old fashioned southern hospitality.
The meals are fantastic value for money – cheap and cheerful pub meals they are not – this is restaurant level food made from the finest ingredients by top chefs.

The bar, dominated by its large gas fire is a warm and inviting environment which appeals to a variety of people. A couple of beers after work, a light bar snack or meal for lunch or perhaps an evening watching footy on one of the large plasma TV's – the Ale House is ideal for all occasions.

Local memorabilia adorns much of the spacious bar with an emphasis on historic pictures and photos of the Thorndon suburb.
Meals are served 11.30 until 3.00 during the week whilst brunch is served on the weekend from 11.00. Dinner is served from 5.30pm.
Bookings are not essential but are advised.
